30 YEARS LATER

Lord, it has been...what? One month? Two months? Something like that? It has definitely been something like that, and y'all, I wish I had spectacular adventures to tell you about, but with all the changing jobs thing and work needed to be done? all I can say is, hi. Work is awesome! How are you?

Good? Please say good, it’s what most modest people say (…even with tears in her eyes, she’ll still smile and say am fine?)
Anyway, this post is not about her, or you, or me, it’s about DK. Because he has lived in three different decades and that is sort of a big deal.

Remember how he threw me a perfectly perfect party on my 23rd  last year?  Last month was his 30th birthday and the months leading to it were full of crazy birthday gift ideas. I landed on this site during the adventure, and since DK looks absolutely handsome in a suit:

I figured I could buy him these suit pajamas:

Or I could custom make him an ipad. For poor people.

And would this not make his friends green with envy? Hi Harry :)

But fortunately, unfortunately DK would not find it funny to sleep in a suit and neither would a poor man’s ipad tickle his fancy. So I decided to get him something more meaningful. Something he would always love to go home to. Haha I wish. But no, not me.
You may not already know this, but DK loves music; his life is almost literally one big song, and if you’ve been to St. Peters' Methodist Church, Lang'ata, and you've seen the handsome guy who plays the piano, that's him. That's DK. That's the man I love. And I wanted to go on and on with the nitty-gritty of what I decided to get him, but I'll let the video detail the moment:

Then he went on about everything and nothing for the next few hours:

And finally, we were able to sing and play a birthday song:

Happy Birthday, my love.
